作为您孩子的英语老师，我也盼望着与您交流，共同探讨孩子成才的问题。英语学不好，在今后的社会中就难以立足，英语都起着很大的作用。两个月来，部分同学，进步的跨度相当大;也有很多同学保持了原有的水平，不过，还有一些同学需要更多努力。

在英语课堂上，大部分学生都能很活跃的回答老师提出的问题，积极跟着老师拼读单词，朗读课文。其实要学好英语，课上占40%，其余的60%还需要学生在课后不断的巩固，加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授新知识，当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间，而不是每个学生私有的时间，所以不可能照顾到每个学生，不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识得接受能力都是不同的，有的可能当堂就已经有很深的印象，很难忘记，但这肯定是很少的。大部分学生都只能是初步接触了新知识，要真正接受新知识还要学生在课后多下功夫，不然肯定会和别的同学拉下差距。

一个星期，接触英语的时间，只有三节课，120分钟，刚好2个小时，期间让孩子说的时间又有多少?接触语数的时间一个星期又有多少?所以孩子英语学的怎么样，首先看他时间有没有充分利用够。

在学校中每个孩子的学习时间都差不多,但校外的时间长短则不同。希望各位家长能针对自己孩子的实际情况进行监督，要教导您的孩子要有吃苦耐劳的精神。我确信：学好英语和智商无关，学不好英语的人都是懒惰的人。因此孩子们需要再努力。我想孩子的努力也需要您的支持和合作。现在的英语成绩不仅直接影响孩子的期末考试，还影响着孩子将来的英语学习!

那么在课后学生到底该怎么做才能把其余的60%补回来呢?英语毕竟不是我们自己的语言，大多数学生除了英语课其余时间根本就不会想到要说英语，所以，在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己学习英语。学好英语，不外乎就是在听，说，读，写这些方面下功夫。

首先说一下听，光靠上课听一点点的磁带，学生的听力根本就不能有什么发展。不会听就不能说，学了英语就是要说，那不是白学了么?我每天叫学生回家要跟录音机读英语，可是有多少学生真地做到了呢?听录音机跟读，听见什么就跟着说什么。所读的知识已经学过了，跟录音机读应该是提高自己的听力和口语表达能力，要学生尽力地去模仿录音机里的发音，从而使自己的听力和口语都提高一个层次。

接下来是说，英语是一门语言，学了就是要说，要和别人交流。我们学的英语不应该是哑巴英语，要让每个学生学会勇敢地说出来。在课上我会用各种方法来刺激学生，激发他们说英语的积极性，大多数学生也确实做得很好。可是班级里人多，对每个人来说，说的机会就少。所以下课也要说;放学回家也要说。在学校，我鼓励学生把所学的英语对话运用到生活中去，这样有更真实的情景，更能让学生有发挥的余地。

接下来是读。有句话："读书破万卷，下笔如有神。"学英语也是这样，很多家长也明白，学英语要培养语感，也就是语言的感觉，如果有很好的语感，那么不管是说话，做题目，还是写文章，都很轻松，很简单了。那么语感怎么来呢?就是靠读出来的。一定要让学生养成每天读英语的习惯，这是学英语的最基本的学习习惯了。每天一定要读20分钟左右的英语，绝不因任何原因间断。无论什么事情都贵在坚持嘛。如果你的子女还没有养成这样的学习习惯，请你一定要督促他，刚开始也许会比较难，时间久了，就会习惯成自然。就像早上起来要刷牙洗脸一样，要让他们把读英语当作每天必做的一件事。

one day, a monkey rides his bike near the river. this time he sees a lion under a tree. the lion runs at him. he is afraid and falls into the river. he can’t swim. he shouts. the rabbit hears him. he jumps into the river. the rabbit swims to the monkey, but he can’t help him. luckily, an elephant comes along. he is very strong. he helps the rabbit and monkey. three friends are very happy. they go to the elephant’s home. then, three of them become good friends.

注：对本次英语故事演讲活动的说明："培养卓越口才"对学生是终身受用的。一个学生敢于讲话、敢于表达思想，表明这个孩子有强烈的自信心。自信心对于一个学生来说，是安身立世之本。而人际间的沟通能力和表达能力恰恰是我们教育里所缺乏的。

新教育提倡把发言权还给我们的孩子，要通过开展一系列口才训练活动，让孩子去思考、去表达，利用好课堂环境和外部环境，多角度对学生进行语言训练，达到培养卓越口才、打造自信人生之目的。
