一、 活动目的

为了进一步丰富我校广大师生的校园文化生活，拓展我校艺体节活动内容，营造并增强英语学习的氛围，提高学生综合素质，同时也给广大学生提供一个展示自我风采的平台和提高英语口语的机会，教务处联合政教、团委、英语教研组共同举办粥店中学首届英语演讲比赛。

二、演讲比赛内容及要求

1、以“ i have a dream”(我有一个梦想)为主题，突出展现当代中学生的崇高的理想和信念，在全校营造积极向上的进取精神。

2、要求内容积向极上，思想健康，主题鲜明，选材典型，能够体现时代要求与中学生的精神风貌。此题目旨在引导广大学生明确人生目标，努力学习，大胆实践，奋发成才。

3、全程脱稿演讲。

4、时间：3分钟左右。

三、比赛日程安排

1、参赛对象：全体在校学生

2、比赛程序：

第一阶段：班级初赛（xx月xx日 ——xx月xx日）

各班级参照比赛要求自行组织初赛，推选两名选手参加级部组织的复赛；

第二阶段：级部复赛（xx月xx日 ——xx月xx日）

各级部在各班级初赛的.基础上，自行组织复赛，推选5-8名优秀选手参加学校组织的总决赛（六、七年级8名，八年级7名，九年级5名人），上报时间截止到月日；

第三阶段：学校决赛（xx月xx日）

学校根据各级部的上报情况，统一组织总决赛（分甲、乙、丙、丁四个小组），演讲顺序以抽签的方式确定。

四、 评委组成及分数计算

1、班级初赛和级部复赛评委由组织单位自行安排；

2、学校决赛评委由全体英语老师组成评委团；

3、决赛分数计算采取去掉一个低分和一个高分（满分为100），然后取平均值的方式；

五、评分标准

1、发音准确，声音洪亮清晰，语速适中（25分）

2、内容紧扣主题，格调积极，思想健康向上；组织条理，逻辑性强（20分）

3、仪表端庄，台风自然大方，合理运用演讲技巧，感情充沛，富有感染力（30分）

4、语言流利（15分）

5、时间安排合理（10分）

六、奖项设置

总决赛将按组别评出一等奖15名，二等奖13名，对对获奖者进行物质奖励，并颁发证书。

Good morning,horoned teachers and lovely students：

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don‟t know who wrote these words, but I‟ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it‟s a state of mind. It‟s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It‟s the matter of the will. It‟s the freshness of the deep spring of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being „s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what‟s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there‟s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young . A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I‟d like to share it with all of you. Let‟s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let‟s make a fist. Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves.

We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don‟t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, we‟ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We‟ve learnt that we can‟t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn‟t mean you don‟t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn‟t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.

As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, let‟s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”
