when i was 10 years old ,i became a shot-put athlete.the training was really hard ,i couldn't bear the heavy shot in my hands .but i always believe that "god only help those who help themselves".during those hard days,i find i was growing more quickly than others of the same age.to be an athlete is my most correct choice.but,i quit my team after entering high school because of a silly excuse.i really didn't want to stop my sports career anyway.

today i say to you my friends that even though i must face the difficulties of yesterday ,today and tomorrow .i still have a dream .it is a dream deeply rooted in my soul.

i have a dream that one day ,i can run,jump and pitch just like i used to be.

i have a dream that one day , i can go back to my dream sports and join the national team.

i have a dream that one day ,i can stand on the highest place at the olympic games.with all the cameras pointing at me.i will tell everyone that i'm so proud to be a chinese athlete!

how to catch up with the world? that is, study english well to gain the first hand data.

the entrance of wto, the olympic games which will be held in 20__, shows that we must learn english well as quickly as possible.

forcing study won’t stay in the heart, feeding knowledge into the brain won’t get a good result, and high mark isn’t our teaching goal.

to get a satisfied effect, we should make the students learn on their own initiative.

how to make them feel interested in studying english? i think the key point is the teaching design.

it must be vivid and vigorous.

we can change our study contents into games, performances, competitions and so on.

let them believe english is easy and funny.

as the step of history is advancing, the demand of english teaching is changeable.

the junior students are not what we know as before.

they have a lot of knowledge, and are good at combining english with other subjects, such as history, geography, physics, chemistry and so on.

their english level is higher than what we thought.

many of them started learning english in their primary school.

so english teacher should pursue advanced studies constantly, and master the latest teaching materials and methods to meet today’s demands.

上午好!我叫，现任二年级英语教师及英语教研组组长。我今天来竞聘英语教师的岗位。非常感谢学校领导给了我向大家介绍自己，接受检验和挑战的机会。我将客观地说明我自己所具备的应聘能力，全面地论述我对于做好英语教学工作的总体思路和具体措施，并且，将心悦诚服地接受各位领导和老师的评判。

我是1997年参加工作的，“弹指一挥间”，蓦然回首走过的足迹，有太多值得回味的东西一直在心头涌动,七年来一直从事小学英语教学工作。我的工作得到了在座的许多领导、老师的亲切关怀和悉心帮助。我不敢辜负领导们的殷切期望，勤勤恳恳，不断进取，在思想上和工作能力上都有了不少的进步。因此我今天充满信心走上这竞聘讲台。

站在大家面前有点单瘦的我，稳重而不死板，激进而不张扬，温和而不懦弱， 愚钝而不懒惰， 正直而不固执。

我觉得，我竞聘英语教师有如下几个优势和条件：

1. 有良好的师德

我为人处事的原则是：老老实实做人，认认真真工作，开开心心生活。自己一贯注重个人品德素质的培养，努力做到尊重领导，团结同志，工作负责，办事公道，不计较个人得失，对工作对同志有公心，爱心，平常心和宽容心。自从参加工作以来，我首先在师德上严格要求自己，要做一个合格的人民教师!认真学习和领会党的十六大精神和“三个代表”重要思想，与时俱进，爱岗敬业，为人师表，热爱学生，尊重学生，争取让每个学生都能享受到最好的教育，都能有不同程度的发展。

2. 有较高的专业水平

我从昌潍师专英语系毕业后曾到山东师范大学进修取得本科学历，系统而又牢固地掌握了英语教学的专业知识。多年来始终在教学第一线致力于小学英语教学及研究，使自己的专业知识得到进一步充实、更新和扩展。被聘为教育部小学英语教学评价实验教师，系山东省双语教育研究会会员，参编了《学习与创新》,《阳光英语》等,有多篇论文发表和获奖。

3. 有较强的教学能力

从选择教师这门职业的第一天起，我最大的心愿就是做一名受学生欢迎的好老师，为了这个心愿，我一直在不懈努力着。要求自己做到牢固掌握本学科的基本理论知识，熟悉相关学科的文化知识，不断更新知识结构，精通业务，精心施教，把握好教学的难点重点，认真探索教学规律，钻研教学艺术，努力形成自己的教学特色。我的教学风格和教学效果普遍受到学生的认可和欢迎。我提出的教学模式在市区研讨会上做了交流并发表在《课改通讯》上。

i am new in the teaching world. many e_cellent educators have each taught me something and shown me how to look at education as a wonderful and life changing e_perience. today i just want to present my own understanding towards teaching from the following three aspects.

first, teaching makes learning as a life long process possible.

learning is a life long process. it is something you never stop doing. people learn differently and at different rates. you learn many new things everyday. to install a love of learning and the desire to always want to learn new things is a necessary job for a teacher to do. it is very important to show the children your goals as a life long learner. we need make every student realize the importance of learning.

second, teaching needs effective methods to make it successful.

sela cont, a third grade student from america identified a teacher like this: what is a good teacher? i think a teacher should be good at e_plaining things. a teacher should be fun but challenging. a good teacher should be organized. i like a teacher who teaches fun activities in class and not just writing on paper.

from this we may be aware that if a child does not feel safe and secure in the classroom he will not be learning to the best of their potential. and this required us to bring out the best in a child, to make learning a fun and e_citing e_perience. learning should be something the students want to actively participate in. if a teacher makes the learning e_perience e_citing, then the students will be e_cited along with you. the way of teaching is not unique for a professional. various teaching methods are wanted. and there will be a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow from each other. the environment surrounding the children is a primary factor in leading them toward their full, creative potential.

once you have taken a class idea, smoothed out all the bumps, and proven it is a winner, you will find new ways and places with eager new students waiting for you to show up. teaching is supposed to be the system that removes barriers and provides a solid base for achievement. it is wrong to replace one set of barriers with another. for e_ample, pressuring students to accept the status quo, by establishing a fear to be different and a fear of failure, kill creativity. independent thinking should replace dependency. in some cases, pressure to e_cel in academics kills ethics, loyalty and motivation, skills needed for success in the real world. so the more useful teaching methods there are in a class, the more effective the teaching is.

third, teaching can be a wonderful occupation that can contribute to your growth as well as to the growth of your students.

as a theorist pointed out, assertive discipline being used in the classroom is helpful. it is believed that children have the right to learn and no child should be taken that right away from them. it focused on the rights of the teacher and the students. the students know what is e_pected of them and the consequences if they do not follow the rules. as a teacher my purpose is to give students the tools needed to get them through life. when a student comes into my classroom they come in with a clean slate. and on the other side, the teacher will face the e_citing changes and challenges. if she wants to offer many new things to the class, she must renew her own knowledge. in fact we are both learning, learning from each other.

just as a coin has two sides, when we are teaching our students, we are at the same time learning something from them. “if there is anything we wish to change in a child, we should first e_amine it and see whether it is not something that could be better changed in ourselves.”

由于上学期带过这个班两个多月的语文，这一班学生的学习情况我还是基本了解的，其实在座的家长对自己子女的情况比我更加清楚。学生们的英语都是开学时同一起跑线上起跑的，经过两个多月的学习，学生与学生之间已经拉开了差距。一些好的学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂上积极思维，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，我为他们感到欣慰。可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，作业质量差，还不努力，书面作业拖拉不交，口头作业根本不完成，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事，麻烦事。其实，大部分的学生还是处于中间层次，老师所教的，所布置的作业能够基本完成，但学习的效率又因人而异，存在着个体差别。

怎样帮助孩子学好英语呢?我们老师自然是最直接的知识传授者，有着不可推卸的责任。在此，我们只是真诚地呼吁我们的家长配合学校，配合老师，靠我们共同的努力来帮助孩子学好英语。用一句时髦的话说：我们要和孩子共同成长。

重视良好的学习习惯的培养

(1)让孩子多听录音在少儿英语教学中，首先是加强听力训练和说话训练，然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力差，为此，家长一定要配合学校来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、听清楚了以后，跟着说。按照眼前利益来看，我们的升学考试也一年比一年注重听力、阅读等需要综合能力的部分。

(2)让孩子大声说英语。家长要每天留出15分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语，不管当天有无英语课。我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，这样有利于清楚地表达自己，也有利于他人纠正自己的错误。

(3)督促学生识记单词。分散记忆、根据读音记忆单词都是可取的方法。有时，我们回家布置抄写单词，其目的不在于抄，而在于提醒学生记忆这些单词。但是在日常学习中，学生不重视这项作业，认为只是抄抄而已，不做也没什么关系，其实他连抄写都不做，根本别说是去背了，结果几次下来，他负债累累，应付不过来，学习处于被动状态，从而影响了以后的学习，出现退步现象。因此，请大家在家里督促孩子保质保量地完成英语作业，该读的读、该说的说、该写的写、该记的记，及时巩固，养成良好的习惯。父母亲的良好榜样起着很大作用。孩子一般还没有明确的学习目的，这时，父母亲对学习的态度，特别是行为，会极大地影响孩子。在默写单词的时候，有时会需要父母帮忙，我知道许多家长不懂英语，但你可以读中文。我平时给孩子们听写也是读中文。家长们千万不能纵容自己的孩子第一次说：英语好难，我默写不出来，就任由他去。你让你的孩子知道：今天，你花大时间去养成好习惯，明天，你就可以更好。今天，你偷懒了一会，你明天的作业就会更多。累积下来，你就是欠债最多的人。孩子是每个家庭的重心和希望，有一位家长说过：“要把培养孩子当作自己的事业来做。”是啊，只要你多投入一点，相信你的孩子会给予你更多的回报!
